Hungaria was a famous rock and roll band formed in 1967 by Fenyő Miklós.

 

Fonográf was a Hungarian rock band in the 70s and 80s. The most famous members were Bródy János and Szörényi Levente. The music they played could be marked as country-rock.

 

KFT (ltd.) is a Hungarian band formed in 1981 by four classmates. The lineup is the same in the present.

NOX  is an ensemble which mixes Hungarian folk music with modern elements. The two steady members are Péter Szabó Szilvia and Nagy Tamás. They have released 5 records until now.

 

Neoton Família is one of the most famous Hungarian pop bands. Their English name is Newton Family – they released a few records with this name in Japan, West-Germany, Argentina and Spain.

Classical music


Kodály Zoltán (1882-1967) composer, musicologist, music teacher, folk music researcher and member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (HAS).

 

Bartók Béla (1881-1945) was one of the 20th century’s most important composers. He was also a pianist, folk music researcher and a teacher of music. 


 

 

Liszt Ferenc (in German Franz Liszt) (1811-1886) was a very momentous composer in the romanticism and the greatest pianist of all time.
